Logos on PVC rulers must leave measurement marks easy to read. The zero point, numbers and edge allowance are laid out at actual size. The finished sample is checked to confirm the scale remains accurate.

- On a 15 cm scale, the first and last marks must be 15 cm apart. Add margins and any hanging hole separately to the finished length. Compare this interval with a reference ruler after printing.

- Define the zero point, edge allowance and number direction on one drawing. Keep the logo in a separate area clear of measurement marks.

- Send the scale at actual size as editable line artwork. Do not use fit-to-page or automatic scaling.
- Physical check
- Compare start and end points on a finished sample against a reliable reference. Check direction and alignment for both faces if double-sided.
