Packaging
Cold Seal Packaging
The product remains visible inside a clear, vacuum-formed blister shaped to fit it, with branding and product information on Bristol board. We screen-print adhesive onto selected board areas. Once dry, matching adhesive surfaces bond on contact to close around the product in the blister.
Applications
- USB memory packaging
- Memory card presentation
- Small accessory packaging
- Minimum order quantity
- 500 pieces
- Blister depth and card size
- Measure the product in its intended package orientation. Its largest projection determines blister depth. Allow a surrounding strip where the two adhesive areas meet when choosing the card dimensions.
- Board and blister
- Prepare the printed Bristol board with the product-shaped vacuum blister. Define product space and surrounding sealing area separately.
- Matching adhesive areas
- After the screen-printed adhesive dries, matching adhesive-coated surfaces bond on contact. Show adhesive areas separately from colour artwork.
- How are printed board and sealing areas defined separately?
- Logos and product information occupy visible faces. Matching adhesive areas are positioned to meet around the blister. Unlike folding cartons, this construction uses board and a clear blister as two parts of one layout.

Before printing
- Product and blister
- Provide the product and intended blister sample. Show card closure, product position and surrounding sealing allowances together.
- Adhesive layer alignment
- Mark matching adhesive areas on a separate layer. Check that they overlap when the card closes and that text stays clear of the sealing line.
