Glow in the Dark Printing
We print patterns and signs using pigments that release previously absorbed light in the dark. The appearance depends on the background, printed layer and light exposure. Decorative work and safety wayfinding have different requirements.
Applications
- Decorative night-time designs
- Equipment location marks
- Directional and warning graphics
- Minimum order quantity
- 500 pieces
- Glowing design dimensions
- Measure the complete product and the symbol that must be visible in darkness separately. Fine glowing lines may become harder to distinguish when reduced. Assess the sample at its intended viewing distance and lighting conditions.
- Light and position
- Light exposure, application surface and viewing direction in darkness affect visibility. Choose placement alongside the lighting at the site.
- Intended use
- Decorative glow and safety wayfinding serve different purposes. Safety applications require the finished product's necessary performance and supporting documentation as well as an appropriate appearance.

Before printing
- Glow mechanism
- Charging the phosphorescent surface with light enables visibility in darkness. Assess fading brightness and the required visibility period under the actual lighting conditions.
- Finished print check
- For safety wayfinding, verify the finished print's applicable performance and documentation requirements. Pigment data supports this assessment but does not replace checking the finished product.
