Braille Printing
Braille printing communicates information through raised dots read by touch. Correct wording in the intended language is checked together with dot shape, spacing and placement. Physical readability also depends on these details.
Applications
- Room identification
- Indoor wayfinding
- Information panels
- Minimum order quantity
- 500 pieces
- Panel dimensions and text area
- First determine the panel's usable width and height, then the line space needed for verified Braille text. If it does not fit, revise panel size or line layout rather than shrinking the raised dots.
- Text accuracy
- Visual text and Braille must convey the same content. Translation and contraction conventions for the target language require specialist checking.
- Reading by touch
- Dot geometry and spacing are functional requirements. Visible raised dots alone do not establish that the text can be read correctly by touch.

Before printing
- Approved content
- Provide visual text with its verified Braille equivalent. State the target language and where the sign will be used.
- Physical sample
- Have dot layout, surrounding clearances and mounting position checked on a physical sample. Do not approve production from a screen image alone.
