Scented Varnish
We can add scent to selected areas of promotional cards or printed products. Depending on the system, rubbing may release the scent. A physical sample helps determine the scent and application, along with storage and distribution needs.

- Area for scent application
- Mark the touch area on a full-size promotional card and measure the scented area's width and height. Keeping instructions visible beside it makes the feature easier to understand.
- Scent and use
- Assess the scent alongside how it is activated and who will receive the print. A physical sample helps establish expectations.
- Storage and distribution
- Distribution loose, in an envelope or in a box changes how the product is used. Storing different scents in one package also needs consideration.

Before printing
- Scent sample approval
- Scent cannot be approved from a screen or PDF. Assess a physical sample using the intended coating and substrate, including any rubbing instructions.
- Scent area artwork
- Show scented areas on a separate mask layer and allow space for instructions or warnings. Do not assume every scent system activates in the same way.
