- Position on the door and letter height
- Measure the flat area between the door frame, glass and handle. Print the room name at the proposed letter size and hold it against the door. Check the longest department name from the corridor to choose a shared sign size.
- Lettering and background
- Shadows from raised letters reveal their depth. Text size, letter spacing and background contrast work together to determine readability.
- Mounting and replacement
- The sign base and letter attachments suit the mounting surface. Where names may change, a replaceable section is planned from the outset.

- Provide final names, titles and Turkish characters. Check fine lettering, narrow spaces and layer appearance at actual sign size.
- Tactile use
- If tactile wayfinding is needed, specify Braille and readability requirements at the start. Raised-letter dimensions must be assessed separately for that use.
