Business Envelopes
Business envelope dimensions follow the documents and how they are folded. Logos, addresses and any window area are prepared around the flap, seams and usable printing surface.
Applications
- Corporate correspondence
- Contract mailings
- Mailed invitations
- Minimum order quantity
- 500 pieces
- Custom-sized envelope
- There is no fixed size limit. For invitation envelopes, measure the card with any inserts. For folded documents, use the folded item's width and height rather than the flat sheet dimensions.
- Document and envelope dimensions
- For A4 correspondence folded into thirds, a 10.5 × 24 cm DL envelope can serve as a reference; for unfolded documents, consider 24 × 32 cm. These are finished outer dimensions. For multiple documents, also check stack thickness and usable opening width.
- Window and flap
- Address windows, flap orientation and seams affect artwork position. Use the actual envelope template.
- What is the difference between a wallet envelope and a pocket envelope?
- DL envelopes are generally long formats for folded correspondence. Pocket-envelope fit depends on body dimensions and opening direction. Use actual internal dimensions, document folds and total thickness rather than model names alone.
- What is the difference between a paper business envelope and a PVC envelope?
- The paper envelope is the external packaging of corporate correspondence and documents. A printed PVC envelope has a plastic body with a flap for inserting documents. Choose material and closure for the contents' dimensions and use.
- Quantity and address in a window envelope
- One printed envelope design can serve many recipients. If the address is read through a window, it must align after the document is folded. Count the envelopes to be sent, even when each holds several documents.

Before printing
- Document sample
- Share the document set or a folded sample. Show the address area visible through the window in the same layout.
- Print check
- Identify front and flap separately. Keep logos and contact details away from cutting, folding and gluing areas.
