Printed PVC Envelopes
Printed PVC envelopes provide a flap-covered space for documents that are frequently removed and replaced. Weld allowances reduce the usable interior, so size is checked with the document set inside as well as from the outside.
Applications
- Document distribution
- Training sets
- Business document delivery
- Minimum order quantity
- 500 pieces
- Pocket opening and internal depth
- An A5 document measures 14.8 × 21 cm, for example. For a landscape envelope, check that the long edge passes comfortably through the opening. The flap must overlap the body enough to close around the filled document set.
- Usable capacity
- Welded seams take up part of the outer dimensions. Check document thickness and ease of insertion and removal on a sample.
- Flap and printing
- Plan the closure and visible print area separately. Do not assume a complete seal without specifying the closure construction.
- How do PVC and paper envelopes differ?
- Business paper envelopes provide outer packaging for correspondence or documents. A PVC envelope's flap and welded body form a structure for repeated insertion and removal. Opening frequency and document thickness guide the choice.

Before printing
- Sample contents
- Share samples of the documents or parts to be carried. Determine the space needed for comfortable opening and closure when full.
- Technical layout
- Show printing, cutting and welding lines separately. Identify clear areas and the orientation of the front face in the artwork.
