Matt Silver Labels
Matt silver labels display model, serial number and code details on a silver-look background. Variable information is matched to a data list. Film and adhesive selection considers the equipment surface, temperature and cleaning conditions.
Applications
- Device serial numbers
- Machine model descriptions
- Asset codes
- Minimum order quantity
- 500 pieces
- Space reserved for serial number
- Measure the flat panel area. Place the longest model and serial number together at finished label size. Leave variable-information areas blank if they will be printed later.
- Fixed and variable information
- Shared information such as logos stays in the same position while model, serial and code fields change according to each product record.
- The working conditions of the device
- A matt silver finish provides an organised background for technical details. Film, printing and adhesive must suit the surface, operating temperature and cleaning conditions.
- Is a matt silver label made from real aluminium?
- Matt silver describes the appearance; it does not mean the label is made from a metal sheet. Aluminium stickers should be requested with a metal base specified separately. Select the construction for the device, desired appearance and application conditions.

Before printing
- Serial number check
- Preserve leading zeros and letters in the data list. Compare sample records against the print preview before approval to ensure every character is unchanged.
- Longest record
- Test the layout with the longest model or serial entry. For later code printing, provide printer details and leave a suitably sized blank area.
A polyester (PET) film base provides a matt silver finish as a thin, adhesive-backed label for equipment information areas.
The matte surface reduces mirror-like reflection. Print contrast suited to the silver background helps fine text and barcodes remain distinguishable.
