Barcode & QR Labels
We produce fixed and variable barcode and QR labels for product, stock and asset tracking. Names, serial numbers and codes are matched to your data list.
Personalisation with variable data
Each print can carry a different name, serial number or code. Before production, sample records are checked for long entries, Turkish characters, code order, text overflow and the appearance of blank fields.
Fixed codes or a different record on every label
One code can appear on several labels, or each record can have its own code. The number of labels and the number of unique records do not have to match.
Applications
- Stock and product tracking
- Asset identification
- Information access with QR
- Minimum order
- 500 pieces
- Dimensions and print colours
- There is no fixed limit on dimensions or print colours.
- Data and records
- Leading zeros in codes are preserved. QR codes containing web addresses are checked to ensure they open the correct page.
- Dimensions and scanner
- Leave room for the product name and clear space around the code. Test it at actual print size with the intended reader.
- Can the same barcode be used for different products?
- A printed code identifies its corresponding product or equipment record. Confirm what each code represents before printing to avoid mixing records. With variable data printing, this matching is maintained across the labels.
- Is the label quantity the same as the number of unique barcodes?
- No. Printing 100 labels for each of five product types gives 500 labels with five different codes. Tracking 500 assets individually requires 500 separate codes.
- Print area for the longest record
- Size the field for the longest name or code, checking its printed width as well as the character count.
- Record layout
- Keep each record in a separate row and each information type in a separate column. Check missing values, duplicates and altered leading zeros.
- Is variable data printing only used on paper?
- Variable data means selected design fields change between records; it is not a material name. How names, serial numbers or codes are applied depends on the product material and printing method. Serial numbering on metal labels is one such application.
- Do serial numbers and QR codes carry the same information?
- A QR code can contain a serial number, text or web address. The data list specifies whether it should match the visible number or carry different information.

Before printing
- Space around the code
- Keep the quiet zone around the code clear, maintaining the required space and contrast between the code and background.
- Data and link
- Before approval, compare sample codes with the list and check that each points to the correct record or web address.
- Sample data
- Use sample records for the first layout check. Keep field headings and record order unchanged in the final approved list.
Linear barcodes use bars and spaces, while QR and DataMatrix codes use cells. Each serves different data needs; choose the structure that connects the product information with the reader.
Sharp bars, defined cells and consistent spacing help readers distinguish the code. Controlled ink transfer preserves its geometry for stock and product tracking.
