Metallised Stickers
Unprinted areas of a metallised sticker retain the metallic reflection, while opaque printing covers it. Small text and codes are checked for readability on the actual material.
Applications
- Product brand labels
- Technical information fields
- Metallic packaging details
- Minimum order quantity
- 500 pieces
- Reflective area dimensions
- Mark exposed metallic areas within the finished label dimensions. Include the clear space around any product code. Check reflection from the package's shelf-viewing angle.
- Areas left metallic
- Exposed metallic areas reflect light. Opaque printing covers the reflection to create contrasting areas within the design.
- Reflection and readability
- Reflection can affect fine-text and code readability. Check information contrast on the actual material as well as on screen.
- What is the difference between a metallised sticker and a metal label?
- A metallised sticker gets its metallic appearance from a layer on the film. On metal labels, the base is an actual metal sheet. Product placement, attachments and the desired feel determine how these options are prepared differently.

Before printing
- Separate file layers
- Show printing, cutting and opaque areas separately. Provide a finished-label preview identifying exposed metallic areas.
- Location on packaging
- Show the label's distance from the lid or seam in an application photograph. Reserve a non-reflective, sufficiently contrasting area for any code.
