Opaque Labels
We print logos, ingredients and usage information on an opaque background for bottles and product packaging. Label dimensions, film construction and adhesive are selected for the packaging shape and printed by UV offset.
Applications
- Product packaging
- Bottle labels
- Logos and product information
- Minimum order quantity
- 500 pieces
- Printing method
- UV offset printing
- Label height on the bottle
- Measure the straight bottle body between shoulder and base curves. Test a paper template on a filled squeezable package. If covering old print, check opacity on a sample of the selected film.
- Film type and thickness
- PP, PE and PET are different plastics. Film thickness is specified in microns and selected with package rigidity and operating conditions.
- Rigid or squeezable packaging
- Choose PP or flexible films for the rigid or squeezable package. Compatibility with the actual container helps the label sit correctly and move with it.
- Adhesive and opacity
- Assess opacity, adhesion and service resistance together. Covering old text and tolerating water or cleaning products are separate material-selection criteria.
- Will a white opaque label fully cover an old barcode?
- White-looking labels do not all provide the same opacity. To cover an old barcode or dark print, blockout labels must be assessed separately. Check an applied sample to ensure only the new information is readable.
